![]() ![]() My little sister, 2 weeks ago, received a 6 week old lop-eared bunny for her 11th birthday. I am absolutely appalled at how this 'Emergency Pet Hospital' is run. Why would you do that to someone in such a desperate situation? So it would have been 3 hours waiting while my dog was struggling. I did come backhoping to get a prescription to make him more comfortable, however they sat us in a room for 2 hours, I just left, they called me an hour after that asking my where abouts. I was unable to take him to another vet because they were booked. Why should I pay when I should have received meds before leaving? They made a difficult time so much more stressful. I felt as though I was now being scammed due to my concern for my pet. I just want my dog to be comfortable and not in constant pain. What? He was treated there and you have all his paperwork. I was told the vet that saw my dog was on vacation for the next week and I would have to see another vet and pay additional. I came back to pick up prescription, I was then told there was no prescription. I knew my dogs health was failing however his comfort was my concern.they told me originally to take him to a vet for treatment after release however when I picked him up I was told he is doing much better and can be observed at home. She told me to return to pick up medication. I returned and the receptionist was nice. I left him there and was told to pick him up at 7:30 am. My dog was having difficulty breathing, they took him quickly to the back and treated him. Thank you, again, to the staff at Emergency Pet Hospital! ![]() I truly empathize, these pets are our children and we will do whatever we can for them, and I can assure you that the family at Emergency Pet Hospital of Collier County does the same. Was I informed ahead of time of what the costs and process would be? YES! As I read the 1 star review comments, I wonder if any of those fur parents reflect back on their review and choose to change it or not. Did I expect it to be? Yes.ĭo we live in Naples, FL where EVERYTHING is expensive? Yes. This led me to calling ASPCA Poison Control and bringing in my lab for all the bells and whistles. I had talked to the receptionist/vet tech prior to coming in and she gave me the best advice she could. Last night, actually it was around 2 am, I had brought my new fur baby in for "poison control." A classic lab, she got into something she was not supposed to. From that day, until last night, I had only gone back once to pick up his ashes which was a year later. They checked on me twice, just to make sure I was okay, at which the first time I needed more tissues and the second time they woke me up because I fell asleep on my dog after his final breath. It took me 4 hours from start to finish and not once was I told I had to hurry up, leave, move, etc. You could feel the love, care, comfort and passion in the room from all involved. ![]() The staff, along with myself, were in tears. My Max was a big boy, already "dying" and having to help him cross the Rainbow Bridge was one of the hardest things I have ever had to do in my life. HE told me when it was time to go.Īt that time, I could not have been more grateful for the staff receptionists, doctors, techs, EVERYONE. DESPITE how the cancer should have been "caught" the first time, it was clear that my Max wanted to spend a few more days with me. The first time was when I had to make the difficult decision to put down my fur baby Max he was a senior dog that was diagnosed with cancer after a seizure and it spread quickly. I have been to Emergency Pet Hospital twice in the last five years. ![]()
